My first venture into the real world hasn't been at all what I expected. I managed to find an easy graphics job with great benefits. It was the only group to give me a job offer,or even an interview.
Little to my knowledge, DeviantArt was considering me as a candidate for their open Marketing/CSS position. Of course they didn't ask to interview me until after I accepted my current job offer (grrr!!!).
*sighs*.... Oh well, I guess that's life for ya. I'm sure that's not where God wants me to go for now. However, it's pretty darn cool that I got an interview offer from DeviantArt (SA-WEEEEET!!!!). A nice little confidence-booster. I must be doing something right with my artwork if they considered me in the first place. I honestly didn't think I was going to get a response back at all since I'm sure a bajillion people applied for it.
CONTINUATION OF MY LIFE >>>
So now that I have my job with my fancy (but unhelpful) health benefits, I'm just chilling out... sleeping... taking a walk now and then... you know, the slow and boring stuff you never have time to do in college.
All my life I've been jealous of the people who can create beautiful masterpieces with their drawing tablets. I have one but I haven't had the time, the patience, or the experience that it takes to create those drawings I drool over.
Every now and then, I'll make a doodle and a dabble within Photoshop. I have some pretty cool compositions in mind, but my sketchwork of living beings could gain a lot from practice.
LOOK BACK SOON! My goal is to come out with a sketch per month that I deem acceptable for the world to see. (...baby steps...)
I'll also try to update my Graphic Design gallery with past projects.
